Surgery
The Department of General Surgery at Pragjyotishpur Medical College began offering Outpatient Department (OPD) services on February 1, 2025, to meet the healthcare needs of the community. To ensure the smooth operation of both OPD and Emergency Services, faculty members have also been deputed to Dhirepara FRU, an annex hospital of Pragjyotishpur Medical College.
The department is led by Professor Dr. Nirmal Kumar Agarwal, who serves as the Head of the Department (HOD). The team consists of highly qualified faculty members, including Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Registrars, and Senior Residents.
The department is set to expand its services soon, incorporating inpatient care (IPD), emergency services, and other surgical facilities, in addition to the existing OPD services.
